Keio University is a private university located in the capital city of Japan, Tokyo, in particular in Minato. It is known as one of the oldest higher institution in modern Japan. It has ten faculties including Letters, Economics, Law, Business and Commerce, Medicine, Science and Technology, Policy Management, Environment and Information Studies, Nursing and Medical Care, and Pharmacy.
The Keio University Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies offer two scholarships for exceptional students accepted throughout Admissions for Overseas Students (GIGA Program). Apply for these scholarships the same time you apply for the GIGA Program. Applications for these scholarships will not be accepted after entrance into Keio University. Applicants may apply for these scholarships, but only one scholarship will be awarded if selected to be a recipient.
Requirements
The following eligibility requirements apply for all of three scholarships. To be considered for these scholarships, you must:
- Be accepted through Admissions for Overseas Students (GIGA Program) to enter the Faculty of Policy Management or the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies in September 2020
- Be an informing first-year student
- Be a foreign national

Awards/ Grants
The scholarships will award the recipients in form of:
- Academic Fees
- Housing and Living Costs
- Financial Aid
- Scholarships Available Exclusively for GIGA Program International Students

Before you sign a lease, ask the landlord if you have the option of renewing the lease at the end of the original term. You should also check if they allow subletting, an arrangement where tenants rent their apartment to someone else.
